Pete

Spencer is now the owner of a show STEER and Pete is his name.  He exhibited Pete at the Windfarm Classic/ OCCA show last weekend (Jan 3, 2015) and won breed champion, mind you, he was the only Simmental steer there that day.  But anyway, Petey did well and so did Spencer.  The weather was terrible as always at the WFC in beautiful downtown Weatherford, Oklahoma in early January.  They were predicting an ice storm and fortunately it did not materialize.

We Should Have Never Ever Waited So Long To Start...

     If you have an FFA'er start right now, write down on the back of each picture & article who, what and most importantly WHEN!  It is really difficult to tell if Jr. is a freshman in that picture or is he a sophomore?...Don't be like me....get overly organized, write the dates down, take tons of pictures.  Threaten them for a smile if you have to!

Mad

I am mad.  Mad at parents who fail to parent their children, parents who only wish to play the role of big brother or big sister in the 

 little world they've created where everyone is out to get their spoiled rotten spawn. By allowing a child to never stand on his own for his actions and running to their constant rescue, a child is taught nothing......did we all not learn from the other, older children among us growing up?  Was that not education in the form of childhood justice.....oh noooooo, it is bullying, no child is responsible for his actions, it is always someone else's fault. 

Grow up and be a parent, you are ruining your kid!

Blessings Come in Many Forms

Bob, started off great, grew ornerier as the month went on.  His 2013 Pump Patch motto was "feed me or I'll bite you"....
We're going to work on Bob's bite.

He was a blessing.



I've know this family since the Mom and Dad were little, I really didn't know them, I knew who they were.  They came for the first time with their three little kids, they were blessings, glad I know them now. 



We hosted a family reunion, had a great birthday party and lots of fun school group field trips.  We were blessed to see lots of our aunts, uncles and cousins.

They sure are a blessing to many.

 



Our biggest blessing came in the form of an email, from a Grandmother expressing her appreciation to us for what we do.  Above the door in the concession stand I wrote in Sharpie many years ago "Make Yourself A Blessing"  God answers prayer. She let us know that we blessed her, her grandchildren and her husband.  Thanks to each and every 2988 of you who came out, we were blessed by your presence.  We were also blessed by our family and friends who helped out in many ways, Cale didn't starve and Spencer never had to walk home from school during the month of October.  God Bless each of you!
