Mr. Jahn came to America in 1845, he walked from the coast to New Braunfels and became a leading citizen. He built furniture, had two kids and would not speak of life in the old country. Saying only that the future was in America. He would not allow his picture to be taken. I have my theory on that, but who knows why really? I'm sure glad he came.
