Forts & Tree Houses

A windmill sits just outside the mansions back door. It has suffered through many long years of Oklahoma winds and has pumped many gallons of hard gyp water...basically the well is caved in, it pumpeth no more. There is a windmill repairman in Rocky, Oklahoma...would be nice to have it pumping and running, that is a lovely sound. But for now it serves proudly as a fort and a kid hangout which rises many scary feet above the ground...perfect for the girls and boys of our family who are seldom allowed to experience such potentially neck breaking freedoms. Honeysuckle and trumpet vine encase the prized fort year round, summertime is much sweeter smelling. Farm kids have great places to play. My fort was made of ammunition boxes...probably 5x5 with nice new GOLD SHAG carpet on the floor...it was great...until it rained!
