Usually wifey writes all the cool stuff but it's my turn tonight. So, here it goes. This morning I woke the chickens up at 5am...much to my wife's dismay...she likes to wake the fowl about 7:30am!! Off to check my email and see what my oilfield friends have sent my way....and yes, it is generally political. Breakfast for the boys and myself, they had cereal, I had a nice 3 egg, sausage and toast meal. Wifey joined me for sausage leftovers and they boys were off to school with Aunty and the Blue School bus. Hope they absorb more than I did while attending school. Loaded the feed box and went to feed stockers, I need a bigger feed box. Came back home, switched trailers and gathered up Merry...like the song says...Waiting on a Woman...Off to Sulpher, Oklahoma to a Hereford Bull Sale, we "shopped" the catalog on the way down, circling ones we liked and x-ing ones we didn't. Found myself a hamburger and bag of Doritos as the sale was starting....wifeypoo, scolded me and I had to abandon a perfectly good bag of Cool Ranch Doritos...ugh....A man can eat and buy cattle at the same time! Bought two bulls, we'll call them Panhandle Slim (came from the Metropolis of Balko, Oklahoma and the other we'll call Hillbilly, let's just say he came from another part of the world . Couldn't load our bovine treasure until the sale was over....there was a method to their madness! (Keep the customers hemmed up, they'll buy more bulls????) Homeward bound by 4pm, boys called after school to see if they were to hitchhike home (14 miles uphill both ways of course) or if someone was going to pick them up....they haven't had to walk yet! Stopped in Duncan and ate....regretted that...won't do that anymore.... Price of the day: 2 bulls- $$$$, Hamburger & ice tea, free, Cool Ranch Doritos-free, Day spent with wife---Priceless!! We had a great day. Mr. Bullbuyerman
