Speaking of blessings, I've had a couple this week, nothing as monumental as the birth of Christ, but pretty good anyway! First of all my little red headed friend and her long legged man gave us a gift certificate for Cattleman's in OKC (Presidents eat there) all because I fixed them a chicken salad sandwich....and I am bossier than she is!!! Secondly, a big ol' box landed in our mailbox....I was just as excited as a little girl...(read that like you heard it on SNL) Anyway, it was from Jerry Mc Adams, a very good cow/horse/cattle artist from Hico, Tx. I'd ordered note cards many moons ago....he was busy....couldn't get to it...couldn't find them. So, grammatically incorrect long story short....he sent me a box of note cards and an autographed calendar free of charge! Bless his heart....he knows how to get to the heart of the matter....he subliminally knows that I WANT the painting (really a print would do) "I Want My Baby Back", it is of a cow bawling to her baby at weaning. Very cool, even you pig farmers would like it!!! So, the shepherds were blessed at Christmas time as we all are, and me, I am doubly blessed with my Little Red Headed friend and Mr. Cow Art Man! How cool is that??? http://www.jerrymcadamsart.com/ LRH friend does professional video, I'd give you her web address, but don't know it....Merry Christmas! Enjoy your Moma & your Daddy, you never know how long you'll have them!!

Luke 2 and Other Blessings
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them "do not be afraid" I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the Town of David a Savior has been born to you, he is Christ the Lord.... Fast forward 2009 years...
Youngest Kid was wondering if the Shepherds really had to dress like this??? "But MOM....I look like a dork!" Last Wednesday night our church had a live nativity at THE intersection in town...Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, a Multitude of Angels and a few shepherds along with Wheatie & Polly ...(I'm sure that Maine Anjou & Simmental show calves were in attendance at the Birth of Christ!!) braved 55 degree weather to remind drivers of the real meaning of Christmas. The calves were ill mannered at the Nativity...they grazed on the bales of hay around the manger. Hopefully those who passed by were blessed.
