Sugar Cookies....1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup butter (not fake stuff)
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon cream of tarter
Cream butter & sugar, add eggs and flavorings. Mix well! Sift dry ingredients & stir into creamed mixture. Refrigerate 2-3 hours, then roll dough to 1/4" and bake @350 for 8 minutes.
Then do the decorating diddy!
Speaking of diddy's, at the Fourth Grade Honor Choir Musical, Youngest Child of ours did some dancing...with "V" a very nice little girl. It was fun to watch. So, go dance on into your kitchen and cook up some sugar cookies!
Oh, Youngest Kid here gets credit for the cookie decorating job , he took them to school to share with his Mrs. Gregg class, he also took some grape & strawberry crush....What a good kid!
